During the Global Summit on Gender Equality in Cinema, Barbara Rohm, Juliana Delgado, and Almudena Carracedo highlighted alarming extras demonstrating that sexual violence remains a structural problem in the film industry, with 60.3% of women in Spain having experienced it and every woman surveyed in a sample of 147 people in Colombia. Carracedo emphasized that 92% of victims do not report the incident because the system offers no trust, while it is typically the women who lose jobs and credibility if they do speak out. Rohm noted that at Themis, the independent support center she co-founded in 2018, witnesses contact them strikingly often rather than victims.
