Privacy Statement of Filmpeople

1.1 Protection of personal data Filmpeople handles user data carefully. Personal data is processed in accordance with laws and regulations (GDPR) regarding the protection of personal data. 1.2 Data collection Filmpeople processes and collects information regarding clients and visitors of the website in connection with efficient and effective business operations and to assess whether the website sufficiently meets the wishes of its visitors, users and contacts. In addition, Filmpeople processes personal data to be able to contact the user for invoicing, mail services and support (e.g. via the helpdesk). The personal data to be provided or provided by the user on user profiles and noticeboards of Filmpeople will be included in a database and provided to visitors of the website and to third parties in the context of a personal and company guide and online social network. The (profile) data filled in by the user, with the exception of the email address linked to the account, login details and address details (NAW data) shielded by the user themselves, Filmpeople makes available to online search engines. Filmpeople may link provided personal data to other available data. In that context, Filmpeople, for example, links personal data to other data for the purpose of maintaining a production database. 1.3 Mailing lists Filmpeople sends promotional messages and mailings to the user's email address or postal address when the user has indicated they wish to receive such messages. The user can indicate themselves that they wish to receive information from third parties via Filmpeople. When the user takes out a membership (via the website) of one or more of the mailing lists, Filmpeople is allowed to send the user emails in that context. The user can sign themselves up for and unsubscribe from the mailing lists via the user account or via a link in the received emails. For some emails, a user cannot unsubscribe. These are system messages such as a confirmation of a registration or an email sent if a user indicates they have forgotten their password. 1.4 Consent If a user visits the website or creates an account, they give consent for the data to be processed by Filmpeople in accordance with this privacy statement. Data that Filmpeople processes and collects from the user is listed in our 'data processing register'. It also indicates to what extent the user has the choice to provide or not to provide this data (when creating a profile) and whether it can be adjusted. In addition to the information provided by the user themselves, Filmpeople, for example, also registers whether certain messages or information have been viewed. The user hereby explicitly consents to the processing of the data concerned and warrants that the parties concerned have also explicitly agreed to this processing. 1.5 Viewing, changing and deleting data The user can change the data provided by them at any time via their profile. The user remains responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide and is required to check it regularly and adjust it if necessary. Filmpeople will help remind the user of this. The user can submit a request by email (to contact@filmpeople.nl) to receive a copy of the data collected about them. Filmpeople will make this data available within 4 weeks. Via their account, a user can submit a request to delete all data collected about them, including their account, from the Filmpeople systems, unless and to the extent that the law obliges Filmpeople to retain the personal data concerned, or there are (other) urgent reasons that prevent removal. (see also 1.6 retention periods) Objecting to data collection and listing can also be done via the email address [email protected] 1.6 Retention periods In general, Filmpeople does not retain data longer than necessary for the purpose for which the data was collected. After this, Filmpeople deletes or anonymises this data. Anonymising means making sure that data can no longer be traced back to people. Sometimes certain data is needed longer for another purpose. If that is the case, Filmpeople will ensure that this data is only accessible for that purpose. After that, the data will still be anonymised or deleted. 5 years: This retention period applies to complaints submitted. This is calculated from the day the complaint is taken up. 7 years: This retention period applies to the following categories: - Obligation to retain accounting and administration - Correspondence about debt collection - Payment overview/invoices - Orders, proof of delivery of orders 1.7 Data security Filmpeople uses common security procedures to prevent unauthorised parties from gaining access to passwords, usernames, email addresses and possibly also shielded address details of the user. For possible data leaks, Filmpeople maintains a so-called 'data leak register'. A 'data leak protocol' has also been drawn up for this. 1.8 Cookies In order to make the websites function better and faster and to be able to tailor them to the user's preferences, certain data regarding their use of the website is collected. This information may be collected by using so-called 'cookies'. These are small text files that are automatically placed on the user's computer by the web page being visited. The user can disable the use of cookies via their browser settings. In some cases this may lead to a less smooth functioning of the website. Filmpeople uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google Inc. ('Google'). Google uses cookies. The anonymised information generated by the cookie about the user's use of the website is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. By using this website, the user consents to the placement of cookies and the processing of the information by Google in the manner and for the purposes as described above. In addition, Filmpeople places functional cookies, for example to remember a user's login details if the user has requested this. 1.9 Processing agreements With external services through which Filmpeople has data processed, so-called processing agreements have been concluded that align with this Privacy Statement.
